Both of them fall under the trenchless category because there’s little to no digging involved. Is it possible for you to leave home early in the morning and come home after work to newer, better pipes that can last a good number of years? With trenchless technology, you can. The evidence that plainly shows you’re having your sewer pipes repaired in the olden days is gone.
What Can You Expect From Pipe Bursting Vs. Lining?
Here’s how each trenchless methods work:
Pipe lining is often referred to as CIPP, or cured in place pipelining. The concept of repair is a flexible liner that’s coated with special epoxy resin, which is then inserted into the leaking, cracked or broken pipe. Sewer pipe lining is notable for needing only one access point to complete.
The pipe liner is fed through the ailing pipe via a process called air inversion. It is then inflated to completely cover the inner lining of the pipe. The curing takes a few hours, but after that your pipes will be new-like and your sewer line will be back to normal.
The pipe bursting process involves 5 key elements to successfully pull off- a hydraulic power pack, a retaining device, pulling rods, a pulling machine and an expander head. The expander head has an attachment for leading on one end. A pulling cable goes through the pipe with a new one in tow. The act of passing through bursts the old pipes into the surrounding soil. The new pipe is set along exactly the same location as the old pipe was, which makes it easy to connect it to the water main system.
Our Florida plumbers only need two small access holes to get to the problem pipe and fix it. It’s a compact yet efficient way to replace your ailing sewer lines.
No matter which trenchless method you choose, you can be sure that you won’t be digging major trenches that’ll destroy your precious property. The expenses and inconveniences that come with traditional sewer pipe repairs can be forgotten if you opt for trenchless Sewer Line Repair & Replacement Naples.
