Look underground and there are thousands of residential and commercial properties in Miami, FL that still have age-old cast iron pipes, dating more than 30 years ago. Typically, each of these pipes have a long scar opening up on the bottom part that leaks out water. This crack also causes multiple backups on affected residents and commercial establishments. Plumbers who have snaked in around the sewer lines would recommend an excavation process that would tear out your lawn, yard, etc to have these pipes replaced with newer ones. You see, in the past replacing your sewer lines meant no choice but to do extensive digging. But now there’s trenchless technology!
Trenchless Sewer Line Repair & Replacement Miami is a no-dig solution that preserves the beauty of your natural landscape and your precious lawn. There’s little to no excavation required. Your new pipes are set to last for as long as a century, and yet the costs of repairing or replacing it with the trenchless method are half than what you’d pay for traditional methods of sewer pipe repair. SPT Pipe is a fully-licensed plumbing service that has served the greater part of Florida since its founding in 1994. Excellent service and 24⁄7 emergency plumbing are just some of the stellar things you can expect from us.
How is this Trenchless Sewer Line Installed?
A trenchless method which involves digging only one access point to repair the ailing sewer pipe. Our plumbers will open the problem pipe from outside your residential or commercial property. We use hydro-jetting equipment to remove rust, debris, roots and other obstructions. We take a quick look and inspect the pipe using high-tech cameras. The liner is measured according to the appropriate pipe length. The new liner is then coated with a special epoxy resin and readied for a pipe insertion.
The liner is made out of a polyester fabric tube saturated with a special epoxy resin mixed in a particular portion. The resin heats up by itself within 30 minutes to a good 180 degrees Fahrenheit, because of an expected exothermic reaction. The liner becomes as hard as the old piping material; the balloon which inflates the liner is removed and a final video inspection is done to confirm that the trenchless repair process was done right. The new pipes are set to last for a lifetime and everything can be done within one day.
This trenchless replacement becomes the preferred solution if there’s not enough pipe for a lining. Bursting involves digging two small access points; one to enter the problem pipe and the other to pull the new pipe with. The head that leads has a considerably bigger diameter than that of the problem pipe- this fractures the old pipe and sends the remains harmlessly to the soil below.
