Trenchless Sewer Pipe Lining Chula Vista, CA
Chula Vista, California Trenchless Sewer Pipe Lining
Natural disasters come in all forms and few of them do not cause some form of damage. In the San Diego area one of the most dangerous threats is flooding from severe weather. Flooding can cause problems with your sewer system when drainage is damaged. That’s why you need to know what we can do for you at SPT Pipe.
How We Search for Underground Damage
One of our most useful tools is a tiny video camera. We use it to conduct a video inspection of your underground sewer line. However, we don’t dig up the pipe in order to see inside it. Instead, we dig a small hole down to the pipe connections. After we disconnect the lateral pipe from the service pipe that leaves your home or business, we can insert the tiny video camera. The camera provides us with a closed-circuit feed showing us precisely what is going on inside your sewer pipe. We can move the camera up or down the line to get a better view. This makes diagnosis accurate and easy.
What Happens After We Find Something
There are several different trenchless sewer line repair options available depending on what damage is present in the pipe. For example, a clog or tree root blockage can be blasted out with a high pressure jolt of water from our hydro jetting system. A pipe with cracks or leaks can be repaired easily with an epoxy lining or CIPP application. These repairs involve sending a specially-treated sleeve-like form down the pipe. Once it is in place we apply hot water to it. The resins within the lining react and cure. This means that it hardens into the shape of a long hollow tube. This is your pipe lining within a pipe. For more serious problems where a pipe has caved in or shows signs of severe damage we can replace it completely. This pipe rehabilitation option are no-dig which means they are less costly for you and less time consuming for us.
How Long it Takes for the Repairs
As we have stated, trenchless technologies take less time. That’s because there is no excavation required. On average, most trenchless repairs can be completed within a few hours. Plus, many can be conducted without the need to shut off your water service. The finished repairs will last longer and cost you far less as a result. Trenchless technologies are better for the environment and leave little evidence behind after completion. They will also last a much longer time than traditional dig-to-replace style repairs.
