Are Your Pipes Due For A Check-Up?

It’s hard to know what your pipes are telling you. Slow drains, leaks, and foul odors are common signs of a plumbing problem, but they can leave us unsure of the magnitude of the situation. Is it a simple clog or something much bigger? As many of the buildings that we work and live-in age, plumbing problems become more and more likely and ignoring the problem could cause even more issues down the line.

At SPT, our pipe specialists use CCTV camera inspections whenever possible to make sure that we have a clear understanding of the condition of the pipe system. Camera inspections provide us with a lot of information about the condition of the pipes. We record the video while mapping the entire pipe system. This allows us to conduct a thorough pipe examination and to document our findings. We assess the location, depth, and pipe materials in the system. It provides us with the exact location of any problem areas, as well as allowing us to detect any potential problem spots.

After the inspection is complete, we compile all of the information into a detailed report that includes links to the video footage. The report includes maintenance recommendations, so the customer can make an informed decision for the next steps. This allows the client the ability to budget for plumbing repairs, schedule a pipe maintenance plan, solve re-occurring problems and most importantly… prevent future pipe emergencies.
